ColliderDrop Prefab by OrendCross Drag and drop Physbone Colliders in-world to interact with your avatar's Physbones with a single click of a button! Useful for VRChat Photography and immersive experiences. ColliderDrop is compatible with both VRCFury and Modular Avatar for easy setup. The prefabs are not completely drag-and-drop, please read the installation instructions carefully! You will need to position objects in the hierarchy for your avatar's proportions. Included are some default collider arrangements, but customizing the prefab for unique collider positions is fairly straightforward. For Modular Avatar, you also need to include the Menu Prefab located in the Modular Avatar folder!
Features
・Single menu button (per-collider) for Dragging [Click + Hold], Dropping [Release], and Resetting [Double Click]! ・Mesh is only visible to you when grabbing, and disappears (leaving the collider in-place) shortly after placing. Mesh is not visible to other users, or to your camera. ・Compatible with Marshmallow (tested) and likely other advanced physics systems. It's just a collider! ・Quest Compatible, only requires replacing material. Floor Collider: ・Default Setups: Right/Left Hands ・Automatically snaps from horizontal to vertical depending on hand position/rotation! ・Snapping can be optionally turned off to have full rotation of the plane. ・When reset, the plane defaults to the floor position. ・Optional toggle to disable the plane/floor collider entirely. ・Parameters: 2 - 4 | Polygons: 2 | Materials: 1 | Constraints: 2 Sphere Collider: ・Default Setups: Any Limb ・Optional float radial for scaling the sphere. ・Parameters: 2 - 10 | Polygons: 240 | Materials: 1 | Constraints: 1 Capsule Collider: ・Default Setup: Any Limb ・Optional radial for scaling the capsule. ・Parameters: 2 - 10 | Polygons: 240 | Materials: 1 | Constraints: 1
Installation
[Dependencies] ・VRCFury: https://vrcfury.com/download OR ・Modular Avatar: https://modular-avatar.nadena.dev/ ・PoiyomiToon : https://github.com/poiyomi/PoiyomiToonShader/releases/latest 1. Make sure you have Poiyomi Toon, and VRCFury or Modular Avatar installed. 2. Import CollderDrop.unitypackage into your project. 3. Navigate to `OrendCreations/ColliderDrop` within your project. Choose either VRCFury or Modular Avatar. Prefabs are categorized by Collider Type (Capsule, Floor, Sphere) and Default Limb Setups (Right Hand, Left Hand, Right Foot, Left Foot). 3a. For Modular Avatar, drag the 'ColliderDrop Menu' prefab onto your avatar. This is ColliderDrop's main menu. 4. Drag-and-drop your preferred collider prefab onto your avatar. 5. Within the prefab in your project's hierarchy, move the `--> HeldConstraint` GameObject using the scene move tool to be in a comfortable grab position. 5a. For the Floor collider, move the `--> SnapPositioning` GameObject such that the large sphere is above the back of the palm of your hand, and the small sphere is inline with your fingers. 6. Add the Collider GameObject located within ConstraintContainer to your desired Physbone's collider list. 6a. If you are using Marshmallow, add the Collider GameObject to Collider List in the PB_Setup GameObject. If you are adding a Plane Collider, it is recommended to uncheck Marshmallow's default Floor Collider, as ColliderDrop's Plane Collider will return to the floor in its 'reset' state.

Update information: 2025/9/10 - v1.0 ・Released 2025/9/12 - v1.01 ・Updated my 7-Zip version and repackaged file; some users were getting the download interrupted because of a false-positive virus detection. This seems to have resolved the issue! 2025/9/12 - v1.1_Hotfix ・Made the Floor Collider's snap contacts not local-only. Remote users should now see when a Floor Collider rotates with Snapping enabled - Sorry about that! 2025/9/18 - v1.2 ・Added ModularAvatar Support ・Remade VRCFury's Gizmo component as a standalone script so the installation is the same. ・Few main differences: ・Prefabs of the same type install nicely into their own menu, rather than overpopulating a single menu. ・Need to include the 'ColliderDrop Menu' Prefab on your avatar as well as the CollisionObject Prefabs. ・Renamed 'Prefabs' folder to 'VRCFury' and added 'Modular Avatar' folder. 'Prefabs' folder may not be renamed if you're importing over an existing install, but that's not much of an issue. ・Changed Poiyomi material's VRChat Fallback Shader to hidden (Unsure if this is needed, but to prevent remote users who have Animations and Shaders disabled on your avatar from seeing the prefab in its default state.)
Limitations
For network users, there is technically a slight desync between the custom parameters (Playable Sync) and IK movement (IK Sync), with this desync being most exaggerated at large distances when IK movements get compressed/optimized for performance; however, I have not personally encountered noticable issues with this technical limitation using this and similar world-drop systems.
